Kurtis Kaechele
Kurtis brings more than 25 years of experience in marketing strategy, brand architecture, and strategic communications, helping organizations clarify how they present themselves to the market and align that presence with their broader business objectives. His work focuses on the front-facing side of strategy, ensuring that messaging, positioning, and customer engagement are clear, consistent, and effective.
He spent 16 years as Marketing Director for West Michigan’s NBC station, WOOD TV8. In that role, Kurtis led brand development, campaign strategy, and audience engagement across multiple stations and digital platforms. He managed a multi-million-dollar marketing budget, built and led creative teams, and developed campaigns that strengthened market position and expanded reach. He also contributed to the national marketing strategy through advisory roles supporting more than 100 media markets.
In his broader leadership work, Kurtis has applied this same discipline to organizations navigating growth, transition, or repositioning. He has led rebranding efforts, developed integrated marketing and fundraising strategies, and helped organizations move from unclear or fragmented messaging to a more defined and compelling market presence. His work has supported meaningful gains in visibility, engagement, and organizational alignment. For Sage, his work frequently builds organizational value both prior to and during leadership transition projects.
Kurtis’ areas of expertise include brand positioning, marketing strategy, campaign development, and product or program launches. He is particularly effective at helping leadership teams define how they are perceived externally and ensuring that strategy is carried through consistently across all touchpoints. These are also critical skills when the business and its leaders need to quietly promote themselves.
He is known for bringing clarity to complex challenges and for connecting big-picture vision with practical execution.
Kurtis earned a Bachelor of Arts in Telecommunication and Media Studies from Michigan State University.
